All about Profhilo. 

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, Profhilo stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin. 

Profhilo has arrived in Australian Market officially in August, 2022. But it has been on the international market since 2016 and now is being used every day in 56 countries world wide. Its safety and efficacy has been proved over millions of cases internationally and now approved by TGA Australia. 

What's difference between Profhilo and Fillers ?

Profhilo is a high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid. With 32% of high concentration of HA, it is not to be compared to usual fillers on the market, which usually contains 15-20% of hyaluronic acid. The other difference between profhilo and dermal fillers are, profhilo has no cross link, which allows it in the purest form to evenly distribute, it doesn't lift, doesn't add volume, but to add hydration and stimulate collagen to a different level.

What exactly does Profhilo do? What are the benefits?

With special patented NAHYCO® technology, Profhilo functions to hydrate the skin from within, like an internal moisturiser, and work as a cell re-modulator to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen, to repair damaged cells. Together this helps to improve skin hydration, improve skin tone, laxity and results in glowing, radiant, smooth and plump skin. 

How Profhilo is injected? Is it painful?

Each vial of profhilo contains 2ml of HA, and it covers the entire face. Only 5 little injections are needed in each side of the face, with strategically placed and scientifically proved key points . Each little injection will be 0.2ml subdermal. It is a very tolerable procedure, quick, easy and effective. For someone is very sensitive to pain, topic numbing cream can be applied to injection points prior. 

How many treatment do I need? How soon can I see the result? How long does the result last?

Usually, in order to get optimal result, 2 treatments with 4 weeks apart is recommended initially. Then every 6 month 1 treatment is recommended to maintain the result. 

The result usually starts to show 2 weeks post treatment, but 4 weeks post second treatment, you will see optimal result with glowing plumped skin hydrated from inside out. 

What's the cost of Profhilo?

In Austalia, the commend cost for Profhilo is about $800 to $900 per vial which is to treat the entire face. If you also want to treat neck and décolletage, usually 2-3 vials are needed and package pricing can be applied, depending on the individual clinics. 

Where else can Profhilo be used for?

 Profhilo can be used to hydrate, tightening, treat fine lines not only on the face and neck, it can also be used to treat hands, breasts, elbows and other part of the body that requires skin tightening and hydration.
